Welcome to North London Trans Forum

North London Trans Forum is a platform dedicated to providing education and support to transgender, non binary, intersex, and gender diverse individuals in the North London community.

My name is Sam, I am the founder of the North London Trans Forum. I identify as Transmasculine/Non-binary. In 2023 I was the victim of ongoing hate crime in my borough in North London. What came from this experience was that there is a gap in communication between the transgender community and councils, parliament and services in the area. This forum was born to give transgender and gender diverse people and their loved ones a place to go for support and to have their voices heard.

We host events for the community to attend and meet people, have their voices heard and to raise concerns. This allows people who dont want too or are unable to speak with council representatives a chance to say what they’re feeling in a space of acceptance and have those topics taken further for them.

You can join the forum by signing up on our website or attending one of our events.

What types of events do you host?

We hold both in person forums, and online meetings. These are held every 3-4 months. 

How can I support the Forum

You can support the forum by telling people in the community who may benefit from it about this website and upcoming events. Also staying up to date and being educated is a great way to remain supportive.

Are you accepting new volunteers?

Yes! As well as building a community, we are always recruiting for people who want to volunteer to help run the forum. We believe that diversity is important in the management of the forum and want as many voices and experiences as possible!

Location

North London Trans Forum is based and located in North London, with frequent collaboration with the councils of North London. Events are run periodically in different venues across London. Our hope is that by moving events that community members who may not be able to travel far are able to attend forums.
